This week's Leg Act News focuses on this administration's impacts on rural health networks.
We urge community members to share their personal experiences to advocate for better healthcare policies and resources. We encourage writing concise, story-driven letters about issues such as long travel for care, medication delays, insurance barriers, SNAP or Medicaid loss, and rising health-care costs. Tioga County Democratic Committee members can help craft or edit your story for publication and social media posting, including anonymous sharing if needed.
Submit your stories to our website, your elected officials, the local media, and even 2026 congressional candidates. Many people face similar hardships, and collective storytelling strengthens the push for improved rural health-care funding. Ultimately, speaking out is both an act of self-advocacy and a service to the wider community.
