Highlights: Gerrymandering and Voter Suppression

Voter Suppression: Strategies aimed at reducing voter turnout, often targeting specific racial, political, or religious groups. Historical data shows voter fraud is extremely rare and does not impact election outcomes.
Notables: Newark Valley Summerfest
The committee participated in the Newark Valley Summerfest parade on July 26, 2025, distributing candy, American flags, and voter registration cards.
Suzanne Lachman donated an oil painting for a raffle benefiting the Newark Valley food pantry, raising $120.
Congressional candidate Aaron Giess joined the event to discuss his campaign and local issues.

Tioga County Fair (August 5-9, 2025): Volunteers are needed to staff the Democratic Committee table.
Tioga County Democratic Committee Picnic (August 14, 2025): A barbecue at Hickories Park featuring a pig roast, plant-based options, and an auction. Tickets are $50 per person, with free admission for kids under 10.
