Petitioning
Important information about petitioning for local candidates and TCDC members.
Petitioning is the process by which a Party collects signatures to place a candidate on the ballot. If multiple candidates get signatures for the same position, their names go on the ballot for a June primary. The winner of the primary is placed on the November ballot. Petitioning season is February 24-March 25.
New York Health Act
The New York Health Act (NYHA), Assembly bill A1466/Senate bill 3425, aims to establish a state-run single-payer healthcare system that guarantees comprehensive healthcare coverage for all New Yorkers, eliminating the need for private insurance. Both bills are in the respective health committees.

Sunday, February 15, 2026, there will be an ICE OUT! Protest in Batavia from 3 - 5:30 pm.
ICE OUT Rally 3-4 pm At Federal Drive and Rt. 98, Batavia, NY Dress warmly, join Rev. Ntuala at the Federal Drive ICE detention facility for a candlelight vigil from 4-5:30 pm.
